Qualifications: BASI Mat and studio comprehensive certification

For the past 10 years Pilates has played a very important part in my life. The benefits both in mind and body that I have found through practicing Pilates on a weekly basis has been huge for me and I feel very privileged to be able to pass this practice and its benefits on to others.

I have always had a keen interest in how we can apply Pilates movements to the repetitive tasks we carry out in our daily lives and  how can we move with more freedom, ease and grace? The beauty of Pilates is that it can be applied to everything we do, bringing a sense of mindfulness and awareness to movement as a whole. In turn, this invites ease in our demands of daily living – so that we can live with less boundaries and physical restrictions and more independence and confidence in our movements.

In my classes you can expect to move with purpose and control, with precision and integrity. I enjoy teaching in a relaxed but informative manner, where humour, fun and inquisitiveness are encouraged.

I trained as both a mat and studio teacher with BASI and continuing to learn through a multitude of courses and internal development.

When I am not in the studio you will find me cold water swimming horse riding!
