Qualifications: Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC and CSP registered), BASI Pilates Mat Certified, Polestar Pilates comprehensive rehabilitation certified

Hi, my name is Ami and I originally grew up in South Africa where I underwent ballet training in the RAD method. It was during this time, that I sustained quite serious knee and ankle injuries for which I required extensive physiotherapy. These experiences, along with my love for movement, led me to study physiotherapy and I graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2012. After this, I spent the following years working in public and private clinics, first in South Africa and later in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

It was during her ballet years that I was first introduced to Pilates and equipment Pilates. Because of this I took the first opportunity I had to complete a mat certification under BASI Pilates whilst in France, where my husband was furthering his studies and later went on to complete my Polestar Pilates rehabilitation course.

I recently moved to the UK where I am excited to continue physiotherapy work focusing on predominantly on rehabilitation. I believe exercise as paramount to address the underlying causes of pain and bring about lasting results. Because of this, I am passionate about using Pilates to improve pain related to posture and enjoy guiding post-operative/post-injury patients through tailored rehabilitation to their previous abilities.

In my free time, I do Pilates myself and love baking, travelling and scuba diving!
