Hi, my name is Victoria. After an active childhood filled with dance and performance hobbies, I moved to London in 2006 where I trained at Mountview Academy for Performing Arts, gaining a BA in Musical Theatre. It was during this time that I started my personal Pilates journey which ignited my passion for all things alignment and posture! I found that my own Pilates practise not only aided other physical activities, but was paramount in keeping injuries at bay on long work contracts; especially when working as a puppeteer doing 8 shows a week!
Seeing and feeling the huge benefits that Pilates had on my own body as well as my colleagues, I became invested and passionate about helping others maintain a healthy body and active lifestyle and went on to complete my STOTT Pilates qualification. Since then I have worked as a Pilates instructor in clinics and gyms across London and have undertaken to further my knowledge with the Polestar Pilates comprehensive rehabilitation course.
It is this same, personable, background that I attribute my teaching style to; attention to detail, strong focus on correct technique and encouraging motivation, with a pinch of humour and sarcasm thrown in for good measure! I truely believe we should never finish practice without a smile on our faces. We are not here to torture ourselves but to find joy and reward in movement again together.
I love Pilates for peak performance and prevention of injuries as well as for rehab and Pre and postnatal recovery.
Outside of the studio you can normally find me outside being active, inside engrossed in a book, or singing very loudly at gigs!
