Hi I’m Amy. I began my bodywork journey in 2012 after qualifying in Level 4 Massage at Bodyology School of Massage, accredited by the Massage Training Institute (MTI). I later completed Advanced Myofascial Release training with the Jing Institute and have undertaken further specialist CPDs in TMJ dysfunction.
After struggling with chronic back pain as a teenager, I came across Pilates in my twenties by chance. It played a pivotal role in helping me move away from persistent pain and rebuild strength and confidence in my body. This experience later led me to train with Polestar Pilates in 2019, deepening my understanding of movement and allowing me to integrate empowering, movement-based rehabilitation into my hands-on practice.
More recently, I have expanded my Pilates training to include Pilates for Children and Teens with APPI and Pilates for Neurological Conditions with The Neuro Studio. I enjoy supporting clients recovering from injury or surgery, managing ongoing pain, or living with neurological conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s, helping them build strength in a thoughtful and sustainable way. My background in soft tissue therapy gives me a trained eye for movement patterns and compensation strategies, allowing me to work with precision and care.
Outside the studio, I’m happiest in nature and am currently working my way through the Wainwrights in the Lake District in an ongoing adventure that continues to inspire my appreciation for strength, endurance and the joy of moving well.
