Qualifications: Chartered Physiotherapist (CSP, HCPC registered), Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Rehabilitation Certified.
Hi, my name is Dionne. I am originally from Singapore and moved to London in 2019. I am an avid mover, enjoying salsa and contemporary dance. Because of dancing, I sustained lower back and ankle injuries. That was when I came across Pilates, which helped me with my rehabilitation. I enjoyed the Pilates work in my body and took it a step further to obtain my Polestar Mat and Polestar Equipment qualifications in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
I taught Pilates in Singapore and London, both in private and group settings. I enjoy problem-solving clients’ movement issues and building a rapport with them, so they trust me with their rehabilitation programme. I have worked with clients with lower back pain, postoperative knee injury, and pre- and post- natal ladies.
Because of my interest in movement, I decided to take a leap of faith by leaving my auditing profession in Singapore to study a degree in Physiotherapy in London. I qualified as a physiotherapist in the UK in 2022. I am currently working in the Women’s Health department in the NHS.
In my free time, I attend weekly capoeira classes in North London and enjoy travelling.
