Qualifications: BA in Performance Arts and Movement, STOTT Pilates Matwork certified, STOTT pre and post natal Pilates, Polestar Pilates Comprehensive training
After an active childhood filled with dance and performance hobbies, Victoria moved to London in 2006 where she trained at Mountview Academy for Performing Arts gaining a BA in Musical Theatre. It was during this time that she started her personal Pilates journey and ignited her passion for all things alignment and posture! Victoria found her own Pilates practise not only aided other physical activities but was paramount to keeping injuries at bay on long work contracts; especially when working as a puppeteer doing 8 shows a week!
Seeing and feeling the huge benefits that Pilates had on herself and her colleagues, Victoria became invested and passionate about helping others maintain a healthy body and active lifestyle and went on to complete her STOTT Pilates qualification. Since then Victoria has worked as a Pilates instructor in clinics and gyms across London and is furthering her training with the Polestar Pilates comprehensive rehabilitation course.
It is this same, personable, background that Victoria attributes her teaching style to; attention to detail, strong focus on correct technique and encouraging motivation, with a pinch of humour thrown in for good measure! Victoria believes we should never finish practise without a smile on our faces. We are not here to torture ourselves but to find joy and reward in movement again together.
Victoria has a keen interest in Pilates for peak performance and prevention of injuries, Pilates for rehab and Pre and post natal Pilates. Outside of the studio you can normally find her outside being active, inside engrossed in a book or singing at gigs!
