QUALIFICATIONS: Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Rehabilitation, BSc in Sports Rehabilitation
Roxy gained her BSc in Sports Rehabilitation at St Marys University and is BASRAT registered. Prior to her degree she worked as a personal trainer for 3 years helping clients achieve their fitness and wellbeing goals. She focuses on Sports Massage and injury rehabilitation to aid treatment of muscular pain and dysfunction. She worked within a team of sports massage therapists for the New Zealand All Blacks for the Rugby World Cup 2015, as well as other sports teams. She has worked with the English Institute of Sport since 2016 treating a variety of professional athletes such as English squash, triathletes and runners.
Alongside sports massage and rehabilitation, Roxy also works as a clinical Pilates instructor at Complete Pilates focusing on mat and reformer Pilates to enhance body awareness and rehabilitation. Having danced for 16 years, this helps her understand the hard work, training and dedication it takes to prepare for competitions, whether it is an athlete training for a major event or an office worker training for their first race.
Inspired by the body’s anatomy, movement imbalances and patterns gives her the drive to help her clients through their journey back to a pain free and functional life.
