Qualifications: Chartered physiotherapist – women’s health specialist, clinical Pilates instructor, pre and post natal.
Hi my name is Courtney and I am a pelvic health and musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
I graduated in Scotland with a first class honours in physiotherapy before moving to New Zealand. It was here that I began my training in Pilates, a tool I commonly use as part of rehabilitation.
I have been working in private practice since 2017 both in Auckland and central London and love them both! My professional passion lies within women’s health physio, an area I have constantly been learning in with the Pelvic, Obstetrics and Gynaecological (POGP) society. I particularly enjoy working with the pre & post-natal population, encouraging safe movement and exercise for all. I am trained in internal pelvic floor assessments, and treating common pelvic health issues, such as urinary incontinence and prolapse.
Although I have worked with lots of different clients in the past, I love working with people who have injuries from being active, particularly runners.
I have also worked within paediatric physiotherapy, and have gained experience of working with common adolescent injuries. The best part about working with children is that you can incorporate fun and engaging games to keep them interested in the rehab.
I pride myself on using a holistic approach for each patient, incorporating the importance of psychological and emotional health as part of physical rehabilitation.
In my spare time, I love running and trying out new cafes for the best coffee!
